Chocolate tasting

Aroma wheel

The wheel we use when we taste chocolate together. It helps you put words to what you taste.

  1. Bite the piece of chocolate three times and let it melt in your mouth.
  2. Start in the middle: which flavour family do you notice first – fruity, roasted, earthy?
  3. Work outwards and look for the nuances. The flavour changes as the chocolate melts.
